MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS
When: First Wednesday of the month
Where: Alameda Free Library
1550 Oak Street
Family Study Room (downstairs)
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Next Meeting: Wednesday April 2, 2008
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that afflicts almost 1.5 million Americans. That's more than cerebral palsy, MS, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis combined. Yet, 2 out of 3 adults know little or nothing about the disease. That's where support groups come in.
Support groups provide an opportunity to educate ourselves, the public, and those close to us about living with lupus. We share information, stories, and coping strategies. We are a small group committed to helping each other manage our disease in a positive way. We invite you to join us at our meetings. If it's not possible for you to attend meetings feel free to start a discussion on the Forum page of our website. Just click on Forum Discussion to register.
Something New on the LFA Website:
The Lupus Foundation has just launched a new message board where you can chat with others about lupus-related topics. It is very well organized and moderated.
